Summer Schools in Greek and Latin offer an excellent opportunity for learners of all levels and ages to study classical languages. Learners can expect to receive intensive tuition in their chosen language from dedicated and expert teaching staff. 2008 JACT Latin Summer School

Wells Cathedral School, Somerset; Monday 21 July to Thursday 31 July August 2008
This Summer School in Latin caters for students at every level from beginner to advanced and from pre-GCSE to mature. Although primarily residential, the summer school does also accept non-residents.

2008 JACT Greek Summer School

Bryanston School, Dorset; Sunday 27th July to Saturday 9th August 2008
A Summer School in Greek catering mainly for 16-25-year-olds, although a few older students may be accommodated.

2008 JACT Classical Civilisation/Ancient History Summer School

Repton School, Derbyshire; Saturday 5th July to Thursday 10th July 2008.
This Summer School is for students who want to either learn for the first time or increase knowledge of the Classical World through such topics as Myth, Epic, Tragedy, History and Language. The language lessons include Latin and Greek where both are taught from scratch unless requested otherwise. Age limit: 16-106!

London Summer School in Classics

King's College London; Tuesday 8 July to Thursday 17 July 2008.
This Summer School offers classes in Latin and Greek at all levels, catering for all ages.

Lampeter Summer Workshop in Greek and Latin

University of Lampeter; 3-16 August 2008
This summer school, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, offers classes in Latin and Greek at all levels. Classes in prose composition, Medieval Latin and Renaissance Latin are also offered. The summer school is open to students of all ages. Durham Latin and Greek Summer School

Run by Sunderland University at St John's College, Durham; Saturday 19 to Saturday 26 July 2008
Classes in both Latin and Greek from beginners to advanced level, including groups dedicated to OU courses A296/7 and A396/7. It is primarily a residential course but non-residents are welcome. There is usually a wide range of ages, from sixth-form students to life-long learners. The college offers excellent facilities in an idyllic location.

The Sandwell Latin, Greek & Classics Summer School

(formerly the Rowley Regis Latin Summer School)
Sandwell College,Oldbury,West Midlands; 26th June to 4th July 2008
A non-residential summer school mainly aimed at local schools in the West Midlands.
Latin beginners are usually aged 13 or 14; older people however are welcome to join more advanced classes too. Greek beginners normally have taken GCSE Latin.
